Editorial policy
How we research, write, and make money — and why you can trust what you read here.
Last updated July 17, 2026.
GLP Index is an independent publisher covering GLP-1 medications, the telehealth providers that prescribe them, and the tools and products that support treatment. We are not owned by, or affiliated with, any pharmaceutical company, pharmacy, or healthcare provider. This page explains the rules we write by.
Independence and how we make money
GLP Index is free to read and takes no money from drugmakers. The site earns revenue from affiliate commissions: when you sign up with some of the providers we link to, they pay us a referral fee at no extra cost to you. Our partnerships page explains how to work with us.
Money never buys a recommendation. Concretely:
- Providers cannot pay to be reviewed, to improve a verdict, or to change their position in a comparison or roundup.
- Our recommendations are decided by the editorial process first; affiliate relationships are attached after, where they exist.
- We review and recommend providers we have no commercial relationship with, and say so.
- Sponsored content, if we ever run it, is clearly labeled as such. As of the date above, no content on GLP Index is sponsored.
No scores, no stars
We deliberately don't rate providers with stars, grades, or numbers out of ten. Scores compress judgment into false precision — and in this industry they're routinely traded for commissions. Instead, every review ends in a plain-language verdict: who a provider is genuinely a fit for, and who should skip it. Every review includes the negatives. If we can't find a real drawback, we haven't researched hard enough.
How we review providers
- We verify pricing from the source. Costs, what's included, and what's extra come from the provider's own published pricing and terms, checked as of the date on the review.
- We read the fine print. Subscription terms, cancellation policies, medication sourcing, and compounding disclosures — the things that surprise people after they sign up.
- We weigh real user sentiment. We aggregate what actual customers report across Trustpilot, the Better Business Bureau, and app stores — the recurring praise and the recurring complaints, not cherry-picked quotes.
- We compare like for like. Providers are evaluated on the same dimensions — pricing, medication access, clinical model, and service — so comparisons mean something.
How we source medical information
Medical claims on GLP Index are drawn from primary sources: FDA prescribing information and labels, peer-reviewed clinical trials, and guidance from medical organizations. Medication pages cite their sources so you can check our work.
We are a research publication, not a medical practice. Our content is written by our editorial team, not by clinicians, and no page on this site should be read as medical advice — see our medical disclaimer. We do not currently claim formal clinical review of our content; if and when licensed clinicians review a page, it will say so by name, and we won't put a reviewer's name on anything they haven't actually reviewed.
Keeping content current
GLP-1 news moves fast — approvals, shortages, compounding rules, and prices change. Pages show when they were last updated, and we re-verify time-sensitive details like pricing and availability on a regular cycle. When something material changes, we update the page rather than leave stale guidance up.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it — quickly and without burying it. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact form (choose "Correction or content feedback") or email hello@glpindex.com. We read everything.
Who is responsible
Every page on GLP Index crosses the desk of our founder, Spencer Lanoue, before it publishes. The buck stops there. Questions about this policy? Get in touch.
