Medical disclaimer

Please read this before acting on anything you find on GLP Index.

Effective July 17, 2026. Last updated July 17, 2026.

The information on glpindex.com — including every guide, review, comparison, calculator, chart, and tool (together, the "Site") — is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed healthcare provider.

Always talk to a professional

Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on this Site. Always consult a licensed clinician before starting, stopping, or changing any medication, supplement, diet, or treatment plan — including any GLP-1 medication. Your doctor knows your history, your labs, and your risks. We don't.

No doctor-patient relationship

GLP Index is an independent publisher. We are not a pharmacy, telehealth provider, or healthcare organization. We do not sell, prescribe, or dispense medication, and no doctor-patient relationship is created by reading the Site, using our tools, or contacting us. Prescription medications, including GLP-1s, are available only through a licensed clinician's evaluation.

Calculators and tools are educational estimates

Our free tools — dose, weight loss, and protein calculators, dosage charts, trackers, and similar — produce general educational estimates based on published averages and the numbers you enter. They are not prescriptions, dosing instructions, or individualized medical recommendations. Never use them to determine, adjust, or time a medication dose. Only your prescribing clinician and the instructions on your pharmacy label can do that; if they disagree with anything on this Site, they win — every time.

Medication information changes

Medical claims on the Site are drawn from primary sources — FDA prescribing information and labels, peer-reviewed clinical trials, and guidance from medical organizations — but approvals, dosing guidance, availability, pricing, and safety information all change over time. While we work to keep pages current and cited, we make no warranty that any information is accurate, complete, or up to date at the moment you read it. Verify anything that matters with your prescriber or pharmacist. Clinical trial results are averages; individual results vary.

Compounded medications

Some providers we review offer compounded GLP-1 medications. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved, which means the FDA has not evaluated them for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Whether a compounded medication is appropriate for you is a decision for you and a licensed clinician — not this Site.

Third-party providers

The telehealth providers, pharmacies, and brands we review and link to are independent businesses. Any care, prescription, or product you receive from them is governed by their clinicians, their policies, and their terms — we are not responsible for the medical care or products of any third party. See our terms and editorial policy for how we review.

In an emergency

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on this Site — or any website — in an emergency.
